Transformation
at Potter’s Farm
a 20-year dream coming to life
Since 2004, Potter’s Farm has been the ceremonial grounds for the One Heart Circle’s deep winter Dreaming Lodge and high summer Prayer Dance.
During these ceremonies, members of the One Heart Circle received guidance and messages relevant to the times, and sent out prayers that honor all beings everywhere. Many of these dreams were about balance, action, change, and walking the Beauty Way.
In winter 2023, the Potter’s Farm Board dreamed in caretakers who would help the land and retreat center move into a new period of connection, change, and sustainability.
A group of three arrived in the summer of 2024.
This Transformation Trio answered the call of the Board, the Dreams, and the Land and showed up ready to serve. Deeply inspired and feeling the need to address the physical health of the structures, they led a series of renovation projects to bring renewed love, care, and energy to this special place.
Over the winter of 2024-2025, we made major upgrades to the Farmhouse foundation and began the same process with the barn.
We need your help to continue these incredible efforts.
What's Been Done So Far
〰️
What's Been Done So Far 〰️
August 2024
Daniel power washes the barn, farmhouse, cabin, and icehouse.
October 2024
Daniel, Lance & Dane paint and stain the farmhouse, cabin, and icehouse.
September 2024
Gardens undergo massive restoration and are prepped for winter.
Empty & power wash farmhouse basement, including the muck-filled cistern. Every item is carefully removed, cleaned, and placed into a moving van for safekeeping.
Hundreds of buckets of sand/soil are removed from the basement.
The chimney is dismantled, and hundreds of bricks are carried out to be stored in the machine shop. Roy and Mark offer support with plumbing & slab prep.
December 2024
Back room of the stone barn receives a deep clean treatment: everything is emptied from the back and carefully moved to the front in preparation for interior power washing and repairs.
Icehouse and Yurt basement receive deep cleaning.
January 2024
A cement slab is poured in the farmhouse basement. Megan and Dane moved dozens of wheelbarrows while Daniel assisted in setting and directing the flow of operations. Sid and Max did the technical slab work.
February-March 2024
Contractors arrive to upgrade the electrical system, replace the hot water heater, and install new plumbing lines in the basement.
April 2024
The basement is completed with a cushioned tile floor, mats, bolsters, and aesthetic lighting, and used as a beautiful, comfortable yoga space for 20 people.
The Annual Board Retreat is held on site. Plans are made to continue the transformation, and support creating private accommodation spaces, continuing with structural improvements, and expanding events + community connections.
May 2024
Back of barn cleaning is finished: Old wood is removed and burned (thanks to the trio, Mark, Dillon, and Kateri). Crumbling rock and mortar are removed from the eaves. Decades are pressure washed from the ceiling, walls, and floor. Raven, Mark, Charlie, Dillon, and Marlieke arrive to sort and organize all items from the basement, back of barn, and icehouse into place. Megan and Dane work to clear the land, tend the gardens, and organize the machine shop.
Everything is sparkling and getting ready for a new round of the Dance to the Star Nation over the Summer Solstice.

Big dreams are blooming at Potter’s Farm, and we need your support for them to come to life!
SUMMER 2025

Purchase a tractor or Bobcat to support land care, driveway maintenance, and plowing
Renovate cabin and upgrade electricity
Rebuild driveway and add a space for parking
FALL 2025
Purchase and build a wooden, insulated yurt with upgraded kitchen and bathroom.
Move the canvas yurt to a newly built platform to be used for indoor event and workshop space.
The people are here… The place is ready…
Will you provide the energy to make it happen?

-
Share a financial gift
Your dollars are deeply appreciated! These 100-year old spaces need extra TLC and we want to build modern, private spaces for accommodation and events year-round.
As of Summer 2025, your funds will be directed toward creating glamping sites, cabin renovations, driveway upgrades, and a tractor.
By Fall, our goal is to purchase a wooden, insulated yurt for our steward and move the existing canvas to a new space.
Through your donations, income from short-term rentals, greater community events, and our caretaker team’s generous donations of time, we can do all this PLUS upgrade the kitchen, create additional dining space, and pay staff to provide this hospitality all through the year.
Potter’s Farm, Inc. is a non profit 501(c)(3) retreat center.
Your tax-deductible contributions support this land.
