Welcoming in Spring to Winter’s Edge

Potter’s Farm is still covered in snow, and lots of it. It’s now considered EPIC. Winter keeps blasting its blustery voice as we look forward to what our dreams will birth in the Spring.

  • Haven’t booked a winter playtime getaway yet? Looking for an affordable escape for Family Spring Break with the kids? Our Spring calendar has lots of openings for you to book a private retreat. Check our calendar for availability.

  • We are ever humbled by our giving community. With gratitude and respect, thank you 2022 Donors!

  • Taylor and Clara have been kept busy with the record amount of snowfall that just keeps hitting the Bayfield Peninsula/Chequamegon Bay area this season. It has been a herculean effort to keep it clear from the road, paths, steps, and roofs. Our gratitude to them.

Taylor and Clara would also like to announce their engagement as of December 2022. Congratulations to them! They are planning a Fall wedding.

Taylor reports the snow has been a top priority! And it makes for good skiing and snowshoeing. Taylor skied around the property to explore, and found tons of cool tracks in the woods; “There's a ton of activity back there that we rarely see!”

  • In the fourth quarter, generous year-end donations supported income exceeding expenses. Specifically, our income was $14,278 with 83% of that from donations and the remainder from events.

Expenses in the quarter totaled $12,289 which included $5,500 for material purchases for the upcoming culvert and drainage work.

Year-end cash balances were $20,000 yet with needed drainage and yurt improvements, the refinancing of the mortgage was finalized in early 2023 to maintain sufficient liquidity for emergencies.

Ongoing maintenance costs and thoughtful improvements help keep the Farm beautiful and ready for ceremonies and events. Thank you for your donations and support through attending events!

Keep warm, be safe, dream on…
