Programs and Events
The types of activities at Potter's Farm are diverse, and the people even more so. Here, we welcome the bredth and scope of religion, spirituality and, indeed, humanity in hope of abetting the wisdom of respect and empathy within our communities and ourselves. Thus, the programs here are on different scales and different levels. Here, you'll find something that fits.            We heartily welcome and encourage new programs: whether Group Retreats or Educational Programs, Potter's Farm is here to help it happen. Retreats             Personal Retreats are, as the name says, tailored to your person. Personal retreats vary in structure, content and support from the Farm. Some people just want time alone in a quiet place -- for others we can help locate a spiritual director or counselor, arrange for your meals, Yoga instruction or massage. When scheduling your personal retreat please ask for a list of the retreat options we offer.             Group Retreats vary in size from a few close friends to forty brand new friends. Retreats are led by a variety of groups, such as craft guilds, women's circles, and church youth. During a retreat the group maintains its independence, organizing activities and most logistics, like cooking, on their own. Group may open their retreats to the public, or keep the gathering private. Educational Programs             Leaders, experts and speakers come from around the country, including regional educational institutions, to teach at Potter's Farm's seminars, workshops and conferences. Past programs have focused on Mayan medicine wheel teachings, corporate responsibility, and spiritual health in the workplace. If you think Potter's Farm may be the right place for your program, please contact our office; we're happy to help. Ceremony             Our idyllic hilltop meadow is the perfect setting for your wedding or other special life event. Groups regularly gather at Potter's Farm to hold their religious and spiritual ceremonies, and we welcome your community to share Potter's Farm as a warm place for your special and sacred events. Community             Potter's Farm serves as an informal gathering place for our Chequamegon Bay and surrounding Northwoods community. In the Spring and Fall we have an Open House and throughout the year Potter's Farm is open daily for those seeking a quiet walk, a good book or a place for contemplation. If you are part of a local group looking for a place to meet regularly, come see Potter's Farm. You're welcome anytime. Internships and Volunteering             Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Farm and your help is incredibly appreciated. We're happy to accomodate all types of help and all levels of ability. And, volunteers stay at the Farm free! In the summer months we offer two internships at the Farm. Interns learn about non-profit management, leadership, program development, organic gardening, landscaping, and facilities maintenance skills.             If you are interested in volunteering at the Farm please contact us several days before you intend to arrive. If you would like more information on the internship program, please contact our office. |
