Feb. 17-19: Private Retreat

May 25-27: Women's Rites of Passage Ceremony for Happy Squirrel
All women of the OHC are welcome and encouraged to come and create the weave of support, so the initiate may claim her place as a woman in the circle. For more information please email Rose Noble.

June. 20-24: Council Guide Training, 3rd Year
This one year training is open to those who have completed a two year Healing the Inner Healer or Art of Peace training. The purpose is to deepen the wheels within, to polish the restructuring work, and learn how to offer some of the tools of the Red Lodge to others. Completing the 3rd year will fulfill the requirements of the Council Guide Training. We have seen that those who do their CGT in this way often hold the most powerful understandings and embodiment of the tools, because they have taken longer to integrate and Dancehammer. The first 3 ceremonies will be held at Potter's Farm to make it most accessible to those in the midwest, and the final ceremony will be at StarDance in New Mexico. White Eagle will be present for each training ceremony; the Guides will be Black Wolf and Dancing Eagle, and possibly others. Apr. 30: Bone Whistle Making Ceremony
ThunderWolf will show us the traditional way to make a bone whistle - some of which may be used in the Sundance wheel (needs the Eagle's screech). It will be good to begin collecting bones now, as it may take a few practice bones (5-10) to achieve a good whistle. Any hollow bone will do. The larger the bone the deeper the tone. For a Sundance whistle, a turkey wing bone is a good substitute for an Eagle wing bone. ThunderWolf says it is best if the bone is raw - uncooked - as it is less brittle and less likely to crack when being worked. And you are welcome to work with cooked bones as well. May. 27-31: Work Weekend
Our task is to replace the sand in the dance wheel. We have found a unique sand native to the area known as "Red Packy sand" that we believe will be ideal for our wheel! This should be the last major work project on the dance wheel. Last year, we had great work crew and a very loving ceremony on Memorial Day weekend, so it seemed wise to use it again. Like last year, if we get done early (as I expect we will) we still have a day to play!

The OneHeart Circle community will gather at Potter's Farm this fall weekend to celebrate the turning of the seasons and to look into where we are as a community, where we're headed and what's needed to get there. This ceremony is focused on the OneHeart Circle community and so is open to that group only - the OneHeart Circle being those in this region who have come in contact with the Delicate Lodge teachings.
